Onboard Operations Supervisor

Your main responsibilities:

• Constant maintenance and quality control of public and passenger areas/services of the vessels in Estonia
• Operational cost control (laundry services, chemical supplies, maintenance etc) and contribution in cost planning
• Supplier selection, in close regular contact with Procurement department, and suppliers work quality control
• Assisting the vessels with any ongoing operational challenges, and following up with the relevant departments and support teams until resolution
• Follow up on Customer Service standards, implementing findings from customer feedback to improve service level
• Assisting local HR advisor and Service Managers with onboard catering crews
• Onboard support for other departments when required
• Frequent visits to the vessels onboard (once a week as minimum) and frequent travel onboard DFDS routes to Kapellskär (once a month as minimum)

Profile, Skills, Experience:

• Proven operational management/coordination experience
• Hospitality/Hotel/Catering operational experience would be a great benefit
• Procurement skills: experience in signing and working with suppliers, contractors
• Project coordination experience
• Good understanding of business processes/operational excellence
• Experience with process efficiency and effectiveness, cost reduction, and improving customer satisfaction
• Proactive problem solver and initiator
• Fluency in Estonian and English, both written and spoken. Russian language skills are an advantage
