GIS Engineer

EyeVi Technologies is a venture-backed and growing technology company with the mission to make road infrastructure management sustainable through digitalization. We offer our clients on-demand mapping technology for capturing high accuracy geo-data from road networks and processing the data with AI-powered software.

As a GIS engineer, you will build and maintain GIS databases, and use GIS software to analyze the spatial and non-spatial information in them.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the GIS field for at least 3 years
• Degree in computer science, geography, or related field
• Experience with the following software’s, such as QGIS, Terrasolid and Cloud Compare is a strong plus
• Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced startup environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and analytical thinker

 Responsibilities:

• GIS data processing and working with geospatial databases
• Point cloud processing – alignment, cleaning, colouring, filtering, etc. 
• Point cloud classification – automatic, semi-automatic and manual
• Extracting features from point clouds, orthophotos and panoramic images
• Learning new software or processing methods
• Using Terrasolid, CloudCompare, TopoDOT, QGIS, Manifold, LAStools software
• Using EyeVi web applications
• Developing methodologies for optimal data processing workflows
• Processing raw EyeVi mobile mapping data
• Calibrating boresight angles between sensors
• Running AI feature extraction scripts
