DEVOPS ENGINEER/ ARCHITECT

» As a DevOps you will have the responsibility to drive the IT excellence to maximize the reliability and availability of the Navionics cloud services
» Ensure the perfection in our data synching and database replication
» Manage our servers and databases (stored in-house and on Amazon cloud)
» Work with software engineers and database engineers to ensure overall application design is optimal
» Build database tools and scripts that enable automation of tasks
» Create ETL scripts to load data between systems
» Administer production and development databases, ensuring maximum availability
» Hands-on coding
» Conduct design and code walk through, peer reviews.

» Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT
» Working experience as software developer
» Experience with Python, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Cloudstack, OpenStack, EC2, Puppet, Chef, Capistrano, Ngnix, Nagios; Amazon Web Services, Linux
systems; Git and SVN
» Knowledge of message queue infrastructures
» Capability of developing tools to support deployment, maintenance and monitoring of remote virtualized environments
» Experience in developing tools for automating anything
» Some experience with PostgresSQL, PostGIS and NoSQL databses
» Proficiency in object oriented design and modeling
» Fluency in English and willingness to travel
» Passion for any outdoor sport.
