Job Description

As a Hotel Receptionist, you will be responsible for processing restaurant and hotel reservations, checking guests in and out, applying charges to bills, and dealing with payments. This role will require your outstanding customer service skills, fantastic attention to detail, and your consistently professional and friendly approach. To be a professional and efficient first point of contact for all guests and ensure that they receive the highest standard of service and co-operation at all times, whilst ensuring the smooth running of the Front of House department

Requirements

In addition to your excellent customer service skills, as the Hotel Receptionist you should be a punctual and reliable team player with strong communication skills, a self driven approach, and a positive 'can do' attitude

Additional information

You will be fully aware of all hotel tariffs, facilities, current activities and promotions.
You will be fully aware of the cash handling and credit procedures and report any discrepancies to the Front of House Manager immediately.
You will be aware of and understand your Departmental Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to this at all times.
Other duties as required.
To take reservations for accommodation or meals as specified through in the correct manner.
Liaising with other departments at all times concerning the movement of guests and all departments can operate efficiently and effectively with necessary information.
Following the correct procedures for all money transactions, to include reconciliation of all monies.
To file registration cards in the correct manner.
To welcome guests in a cheerful and courteous manner, wherever possible at the front door.
To use guests name at all times and To deal with all incoming mail and distribute where necessary.
To operate the Hotel switchboard in cheerful and professional manner and to take precise messages.
