DevOps Engineer

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for supporting critical operations of high volume production systems (Web-based UI/API's). As a key member of our team, the DevOps Engineer will work with IT resources and development teams to solve critical issues while improving customer experience. You will also play a role in migrating our system to AWS and establishing a modernized build and deployment pipeline – two strategic initiatives that we expect to transform our organization with.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Investigate and contribute to solving various issues in production environments
• Proactively analyze and contribute improvements to software deployment processes
• Work with the development team to improve service quality
• Migration and expansion of the production environment to AWS and further maintenance
• Participating in building a modern development pipeline

• Higher education degree in Computer Science or related technical fields or 2+ years of work experience in similar role and position
• Ability to identify and critically analyze problems in given systems as well as propose and develop solutions independently
• Experience administering Linux server OSs
• Experience administering private clouds and/or IaaS systems (preferably VMware and AWS)
• Knowledge about computer networks and networking principles
• Passion towards technological innovations and willingness to jump into unknown territories
• Good spoken and written English

Preferred (optional) skills:

• Experience with Amazon Web Services
• Previous DevOps experience
• Experience with Ansible
• Scripting experience using Bash, Ruby or Python
• Experience administering RDBM systems and ability to write SQL queries
• Familiarity with Agile development processes
• Experience with CloudFoundry
• Familiarity with Bitcoin, Ethereum or other cryptocurrencies
• Good spoken and written Russian
