The Hotel Operational Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
• Day to day manage all the hotel’s departments – reception, kitchen & breakfast service, housekeeping, maintenance;
• Actively participate in the development of all key managerial positions and manage effectively labour turnover, recruitment and employee development within budgeted parameters;
• To know the national legislation regarding the hotel and catering business, including the employment of staff;
• Client orientated, with common understanding of high level of client service and skills necessary to deal in problem situations;
• Implementing and maintaining the company standards and budgets in the hotel department
• Supervising all stock checks and inventories within the hotel department
• Be able to work independently as well as under the management of the head-office;
• Be able to prepare necessary reports by the management and be ready to present and motivate results;
• Ensure business is operating in systematic manner and recommend plans for identified weaknesses.

Requirements

Key Requirements:
• At least 2 yours of experience in Hotel operations management
• Higher Education, hospitality management preferred
• Strong management skills;
• Ability to manage difficult guest situations; respond promptly to guest needs;
• Ability to appropriately assign/delegate work and authority to others in the accomplishment of goals;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated positive customer service skills, and ability to relate to people of varying ages and backgrounds;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Fidelio knowledge will be considered as advantage;
• Good Estonian, English and Russian skills verbal and written.
