Job Description

Hesburger is a Finnish family-owned fast food chain. Hesburger is the largest fast food chain in Finland and in the Baltic countries. In recent years, the successful concept has also gained a strong foothold in new operational countries. Today altogether 444 Hesburger restaurants are located in nine countries. In 2016 the taxable sales turnover of all Hesburger restaurants totaled 284,5 million euros. The Hesburger chain employs over 6.700 persons.
Due to the Hesburger Group’s expansion abroad, we are now looking for a Legal Counsel to strengthen our legal team of three lawyers. Our head office is located in Turku, Finland, and legal services are provided mainly there. The Hesburger Group’s subsidiary AS Hesburger, located in Saue, is a mother company of all Hesburger business in Estonia and also strongly engaged in Group’s franchise business operations abroad. As a Legal Counsel, you will work especially on legal matters related to the company’s expansion abroad, but you will also take care of legal matters that require the knowledge of the Estonian contract or company law. Your work place will be located at AS Hesburger’s business premises in Saue, but you will cooperate closely with the legal team in Finland and report to the head office.

As a Legal Counsel, you will review and draft agreements and participate in negotiations. You will be responsible for legal consulting and corporate governance matters related to the company’s business operations and transactions. You will keep up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations and help the company to develop its policies and guidelines. You will also take care of employment law or other matters related to the company's routine management. The job requires an ability to work independently and to manage multiple projects concurrently. The job requires traveling on a regular basis.

Requirements

We expect you to have a professional law degree and already at least five years of relevant working experience, ideally in an international company or a law firm dealing with international matters. We require good Estonian, English and Russian written and oral communication skills. Other language skills are an ad-vantage. We expect you to have a strong hands-on approach and excellent organizational skills.
