Job Description
The Infrastructure Business Unit’s Projects team is looking for a Technical Project Engineer (based in Tartu and Tallinn). The Projects team is responsible for all deployments of new sites and services for Playtech licensees, coverint the complete flow between collecting technical requirements until handing over completed site to production.
The Infrastructure Business Unit is the central provider of state-of-the-art IT infrastructure platform solutions to Playtech’s B2B customers. Our customers can trust us with running the IT infrastructure of their gaming environments so they can focus on running their primary activities. Together with other operational units we are responsible for 24/7 support and continuous improvement of our platform solutions.In parallel to daily operational work Infrastructure Business Unit runs R&D activities, enhancing the infrastructure platform constantly by using modern technologies and approaches.
Technical Project Engineer's main responsibilities:
- Participation in technical implementation group
- Collection of technical requirements
- Site design
- Building the project plan
- Building technical documentation
- Carrying out technical implementation tasks, including: network devices configuration; hardware installation; storage configuration; operating system installation & configuration; applications installation & configuration
- Cooperation with business project managers and technical teams in order to ensure efficient sharing of information and short implementation times
- Recommending and carrying out activities to optimize and automate installation workflow in cooperation with technical domain experts
Requirements
The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in one or more technical areas:
- Technical project management
- EMC storage
- Oracle database
- Unix administration (Solaris, Centos)
- Virtualization (vmware esxi and vCenter)
- Networking (HP & Cisco switches and routers, Checkpoint firewall, F5)
- Application software (Java VM, Apache, PHP, Jboss)
The candidate must be willing to build competence in all of these areas.
In addition, we expect the candidate to be:
- A good teamplayer, who can also solve problems independently if needed
- Fluent in English
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills
