System Architect

We are looking for an experienced SYSTEM ARCHITECT to join our team in Tartu, Estonia. In this role you will be responsible for designing the structure of our system and ensuring that proper architecture is implemented.

• Plan and design the structure of our technology solution
• Communicate system requirements to development teams
• Oversee assigned programs and provide guidance to team members
• Ensure the implementation of agreed architecture and infrastructure
• Recognise industry technology trends, understand how they apply to Mercans and drive their adoption into our organization
• Address technical concerns, ideas and suggestions
• Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals

• Minimum 5+ years of overall IT industry experience
• An expert understanding of system architecture
• Experience with or more programming and scripting languages such as JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash, SQL, .NET, Java, Python, PHP, Ruby, PERL, C++, etc.;
• Experience in architecting and designing technical solutions for open source-centric solutions
• Understanding of latest cloud computing and data technologies, business drivers, emerging computing trends, and deployment options
• Ability to communicate solutions, ideas and suggestions effectively and comprehensibly
