Software Engineer for Event Detection

Are you passionate about developing innovative solutions, thinking outside of the box and building predictive monitoring for complex and distributed IT systems?

With us you have the opportunity to:

• Create new observability solutions for the bank's 4 home markets and maintain existing monitoring and event management applications;
• Collaborate with other agile engineers working on different layers of the Infrastructure&Operations department to make sure our mission critical IT Services are up and running;
• Write high quality code that contributes to compliant, reliable and stable software that is used by a number of internal users.

• Demonstrated development experience (TypeScript, Python, Java, Shell, PowerShell or any other language) writing and maintaining software to interface with other applications via REST or SOAP APIs;
• Comfortable working with RHEL/CentOS to perform installations, upgrades, and troubleshoot problems for the OS and installed application stacks;
• Good understanding of PostgreSQL;
• Knowledge in dashboard tools such as Grafana, Kibana;
• Experience with cloud platforms (The more diverse, the better);
• Experience with NoSQL databases;
• Knowledge of Ansible, container platforms, Jenkins, GIT;
• An understanding in how to generate value for an organization through observability;
• Good spoken and written English;
• Project communication and collaboration experience;
• Higher education in IT field or relevant previous work experience.

Advantages if you have:

• Good understanding of high availability applications;
• Strong hands-on experience on the Zabbix platform comprising deployment, configuration, integration, performance tuning and maintenance is a very big plus.
