Job role and purpose:

This is an exciting opportunity for any accounting professional who wants to take responsibility for accounting in the Baltics. In this role you have responsibility of all financial tasks and processes of 3step IT Group companies in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Our Latvian and Lithuanian local statutory accounting is done by external partners, so close co-operation with these partners is imperative for the success and accuracy of our reporting. You will also be leading the accounting and forecasting tasks of our UK companies with help of UK team.

In more detail you will have:

• Responsibility of the companies’ daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable management
• Ensure that all financial tasks for the companies are done according to the local laws and rules
• Month end and year end closing including bookings for accruals and deferrals
• Salary calculation and updating local HR instructions to be in line with Group HR
• Tax, VAT accounting and reporting to authorities in Estonia
• Communication with the service provider in Latvia and Lithuania and control of the reports
• Comply with the 3 Step IT Group internal reporting processes and timelines
• Audit & Tax matters in Estonia
• Maintain instructions regarding own work

Ideal candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or related field
• 3-5 years of work experience in accounting tasks
• A solid understanding of accounting principles, financials statements, relevant laws and rules
• Good IT skills, in financial software and excel
• Fluent English, both spoken and written
• Ability to work independently, attention into details
• Positive attitude to develop of own work, an active role in finding relevant information to support own work
• Adapt to changes while maintaining the focus on the relevant matters
• Good co-operations and communications skills
• Positive, flexible and service minded attitude
