Scientist (Antibody Discovery)​

Job Description

Key responsibilities:
• Develop and apply antibody discovery workflows, including immunization-based, B cell-based, display-based, and library-based approaches
• Design, execute, and optimize animal immunization strategies
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and optimization of emerging antibody discovery technologies and platform capabilities
• Analyze experimental data and troubleshoot scientific and technical challenges
• Maintain accurate, complete, and traceable experimental documentation
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across antibody engineering, analytics, and process development
• Stay current with scientific literature and emerging technologies, translating new knowledge into practical improvements
• Manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic R&D environment

Requirements

Required qualifications:
• MSc or PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biomedicine, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related life sciences field
• Hands-on experience in antibody discovery, immunology, or related life science research
• Good understanding of antibody biology, immune responses, and immunization principles
• Strong laboratory skills and experience generating high-quality, reproducible data
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team objectives
• Strong problem-solving skills and scientific curiosity
• Very good written and spoken English
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience with animal immunization studies and FELASA certification (or willingness to obtain certification)
• Experience with antibody discovery technologies such as B cell screening, hybridoma generation, phage display, yeast display, or mammalian display
• Experience with immune cell isolation, cell culture, and flow cytometry
• Experience with synthetic antibody libraries or library screening technologies
• Experience with NGS-based repertoire analysis is an advantage
• Experience with assay development and optimization (ELISA, IHC, or related methods)
