As a Regional Medical Adviser, you will be responsible for local implementation of Novo Nordisk’s medical strategy in Estonia as well as for preparation and implementation of pre-launch, launch and post-launch Medical Affairs activities.

You will also regularly visit key external stakeholders in Estonian territory as per agreed visit plan (time split: estimated 70% field and 30% off field-based responsibilities).

As a Regional Medical Adviser, you are ideally based in Tallinn. You will be responsible for the territory of Estonia and will report to the Clinical, Medical & Regulatory Manager Estonia.

 

Your main accountabilities will be:

  • Medical Information Service – replying to medical questions from both internal and external customers, mainly on diabetes field.
  • Identifying, interacting and engaging with external experts, clinicians, scientific societies to identify and understand their needs and drives awareness about Novo Nordisk products to the academic and clinical community.
  • Preparing of scientific program and presentations for Novo Nordisk events (included design and strong collaboration with speakers).
  • Exchanging of Novo Nordisk medical information with all relevant internal stakeholders. Actively collaborating and supporting to Medical Sales Representatives in assigned territory related to medical inquiries.
  • Medical checking of all promotional and safety related materials and ensuring compliance to medical facts and sources. Acting in line with ethical standards, company procedures and Novo Nordisk Way.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, we require you to have a University degree (normally M.D. or qualified to degree level), preferably in medicine, pharmacy, or biological sciences. You have preferably some years of experience either as Regional Medical Adviser, Medical Science Liaison, Business Unit Manager or Medical Representative, but it is not mandatory.Previous experience in pharmaceutical industry (medical affairs) or clinical experience is an advantage, but it is not required. Previous business background (sales/marketing) could be an advantage, but it is not required.Digital skills and experience in digital communication on advanced level in order to administer teleconferences, seminars and webpage is a big advantage, but it is not required.Fluent English (written/spoken) and fluent Estonian with writing skills is an absolute must. Russian spoken language is an advantage. You are also comfortable driving a car.To be effective in this role, it is mandatory to have:

  • Ability to read, comprehend and summarize scientific medical articles; ability to interpret clinical data and to communicate scientific conclusions also in writing.
  • Desire and willingness to constantly learn and read scientific literature.
  • Fast learning skills, excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • High drive for quality and details, internal and external customer centricity and relationship management.
  • Proactive attitude, good communication and presentation skills. Understanding of pharma business ethics (patient centered approach, respect, responsibility).

As a person, you are highly motivated, creative, bring innovation and are ready to explore new approaches. You have high energy level and self-drive.
