Python Software Engineer

Part of our daily work is fighting off fraudsters. Our systems gather and analyze a variety of data points, looking for patterns and anomalies. You’ll help us protect honest people online by:

• Writing modular, maintainable code that makes reacting to emerging threats and patterns as easy as flicking a switch
• Automating that switch as much as possible, by building monitoring solutions that can react to surges of familiar fraud
• Implementing anomaly detection to detect new emerging fraud trends
• Making our fraud detection configurable based on threats faced by specific clients
• Ensuring our services are scalable and remain performant as we continue and accelerate our growth

You are the right future Veriffian for the job if you have:

• The ability to write production-level Python code
• Experience in writing modular, composable code
• An understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges
• Good command of English and great communication skills

You’re an especially awesome match if you have:

• Experience with either Postgres, Redis, DynamoDB, or similar data stores
• Implemented queue & worker based services
• Some experience in ML / Data Science, especially in the efficient processing of large amounts of data
