Purchasing specialist

This opportunity offers you a chance to be the driver in purchasing function of Recticel production facility Tallinn team and part of global procurement team. Your main objective is to guarantee the smooth functioning of plant in Tallinn providing necessary purchases for manufacturing and office both materials and services.

Your focus will be on the following objective and tasks:

• establishing a purchasing function to a new environment
• ensure a smooth transition of centralizing purchasing function
• promote and enforce Purchasing procedures and provide training of colleagues where necessary 
• place Purchase Orders in accordance with the demand
• ensure that Purchase Orders have agreed delivery dates and manage any exceptions
• monitor supplier OTIF performance and service delivery, pro-actively addressing any issues
• create and maintain all Purchasing related master data
• process any invoice queries that arise following receipt of supplier invoice(s)
• identify and manage projects to deliver cost savings and other benefits to the company
• control costs and ensure changes are appropriately approved and recorded
• enforce compliance to Purchasing agreements and other strategies as set by the company

Your main tools will be MS Office and Lotus Notes and JDE. Your main cooperation partners and in-house customers will be local managers and global procurement team members. You will report to the Plant Manager and Global Head of Procurement team.

You are welcome to apply if you have a solid background in purchasing function:

• minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing related procurement (either direct or in-direct or both) 
• relevant higher economic education, BA degree preferred 
• very good command of English and Estonian language - verbal, written, reading
• MS Office skills, especially Excel – you master the numbers, as well as user experience of any ERP system
• highly motivated with positive attitude and problem solving approach, flexible and with initiative
• strong analytical and organizational skills, pragmatic mindset
• team player attitude, collaboration approach
• high level of interaction and communication skills 
• ability to make operational decisions independently and involving the teamability to remain organized under pressure.
