Reporting to the Group Purchasing Manager in Denmark you will be responsible for all procurement made in Estonia.
You will be a hands-on leader in procurement of raw materials and indirect spend. Daily operations will be taken care of by members of the logistic & planning team. Your overall challenge will be to identify competitive sourcing possibilities of raw materials, process materials, packaging and other materials and services required for a smooth supply chain operation. The tasks include development and implementation of strategic sourcing plans, negotiation of contracts and evaluation of suppliers, continually reviewing global sources of material and identifying new supply options. You will work closely together with the Factory Managers, plant staff and colleagues in Denmark in order to create value and improve profitability of business.
The ideal candidate has international procurement experience gained form years within the Baltic softwood sawmill industry or furniture manufacturing. You have probably an engineering or commercial education. You master English at business level, both orally and in writing, and perhaps also Russian? You must be prepared to travel 40 days annually.
You are a team player with a “self driven” attitude and you possess excellent negotiating skills. You are able to develop strong relationships with suppliers and based on your understanding of the process and price structure you create win-win situations.
