We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Product Specialist who will be responsible for supporting NPD / VAVE / Sustaining projects, certification and compliance related tasks.

Supporting 3rd party suppliers and technical related sales-oriented tasks, with focus on Northern EU area, where you can work out from any of the nordic countries, aswell as working partly from one of our offices and homebased. 

The successful candidate will ensure the expansion of product portfolio and support for maintenance and care of existing products regarding functional, qualitative as well as compliance aspects. This role is embedded into the JELD-WEN EU R&D working environment and related to processes, governance as well as reporting, linked to centralized PMO structure.     

What your impact will be 

• Managing and supporting R&D projects related to NPD / VAVE / Sustaining area adhering to time-, costs- and resource - plans as well as the defined target costs. 

• Planning, monitoring and tracking of projects after Toll-Gate-Process and connected reporting systems e.g. European-, Regional-Project-Review-Boards as well as Gate Approval Meetings (GAM). 

• Alignment and definition of product-specifications and requirements in cooperation with Product Management and if necessary further stakeholders e.g. Sales. 

• Alignment and definition of project schedule in cooperation with relevant stakeholders. 

• Analysis and evaluation of possible product optimizations regarding costs and function. 

• Evaluation of technical feasibility within the framework of basic technical investigations. 

• Execution of Benchmark-Analysis and competitor considerations. 

What you'll need to succeed 

• 3 years’ + experience in field of engineering in building goods industry, ideally within door (wood and steel) industry. 
• Fluent (speaking and writing) in English 
• Understanding of dependencies of design requirements and product specifications regarding approval and certification processes.  
• Good reporting and structuring capabilities for breaking down to required actions and prioritization in a complex environment. 
• Good knowledge of national norms regarding classification for fire, smoke, sound, etc. as well as connected test norms. 
• Experience with Project Management in R&D working environment and application of standardized processes e.g. Toll-Gate or ECM. 
• Experience with international concern working environments.
