Product Operations Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an energetic, motivated and service-oriented Product Operations Manager to lead the Product Operations department and activities in Playtech IMS business unit. With the focus on constant improvement of the services, the Product Operations Manager will be working closely with practically all Playtech delivery units, Service Operations and Infrastructure units to ensure smooth work of all supported services in Playtech’s licensees’ environments. Among the daily responsibilities of the Product Operations Manager is to ensure flawless software releases rollout of 7 products to more than 60 sites worldwide, operative maintenance of the released products on all these sites, agile custom reports development and to assure smooth solving of complex technical issues involving different operations and delivery units across the company.

Main responsibilities:

- Managing the daily work of all IMS Product Operations competence groups and teams
- Maintaining close working relationships with all related technical and business groups across all Playtech business units
- Ensuring the alignment of the unit with all existing operational activities and processes
- Taking the leadership in the alignment between product delivery and business units during post-release phases of the software development life cycle
- Development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards across the Product Operations area of responsibility
- Driving the Product Operations department to excellence

Requirements

- At least 5 years prior experience in Information Technologies
- At least 2 years experience in managing a team of 10+ IT engineers and specialists spanning multiple technical disciplines
- Expert level understanding of IT operations and best practices (ITIL)
- Experience in SQL and with Unix/Linux-based systems
- Good understanding of development lifecycle and standards
- Proactive attitude towards dealing with service issues and addressing them promptly.
- Prepared to take ownership and to make tough decisions in time-critical situations
- Practical experience in supervision and prioritizing day-to-day operational activities, business projects and strategic initiatives
- Highly motivated, results-oriented leader, ability to multitask, work under pressure, drive people and meet aggressive deadlines
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Committed to continual improvement
- Good English (written and spoken)
