LAWYER AND AML OFFICER

Compensa Life is looking for a new member to our legal team to be responsible for providing full range of legal services, emphasis on the data protection law. As an AML Officer in Estonian Unit, you are responsible to perform AML Function in local level.

Joining our team you`ll
• advise the management and supervisory body and business units in various legal issues
• draft and analyse corporate documents, contracts and internal regulations
• assist us with legal services related to data protection in Estonia
• execute all tasks and responsibilities related to money laundering and terrorist financing prevention
• assess the possible impact of changes in the legal environment on the business operations
• ensure applicable measures to prevent non-compliance with legal provisions
• provide training and information across the Company in your area of responsibility

As a successful candidate you
• have a higher degree in law
• have 4-6 years of experience as business lawyer in insurance, commercial and/or corporate law
• are highly organized with the ability to prioritize competing demands and meet various deadlines
• have strong analytical skills, a critical eye and good self-expression in written
• are results driven with superb execution and follow through; highly detail orientated
• have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and in Estonian
• are „fit and proper“ according to Solvency II regulation

Beneficial skills
• knowledge of finance
• are familiar with regulatory requirements that govern AML
• AML certifications (by ACAMS)
• have strong project management skills
• sufficient verbal communication skills in Russian
