IT Management Assistant

Under the supervision of the Computer Management Assistant (CMA), ISO and IMO the LAN Manager Assistant performs the following mix of duties:

• Install, maintain and troubleshooting of Department of State (DoS) workstations.
• Install and configure DoS and commercial applications.
• Assist the Computer Management Assistant with managing the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of Tallinn's sensitive data.
• Provide Help Desk support and training to end-users.
• Keeping abreast with Systems Administration and Network Management and performs Systems Administration and Network Management when Computer Management Assistant is absent.
• Inventory PCs and associated equipment.

• Completion of education with a BA degree in the fields of computer science or information systems management, or equivalent three years related work experience in computer systems management may be substituted.
• Two to three years of progressively responsible work of an IT technical or administrative nature. At least one year must have been work experience in operating computers and providing PC support.
• Level IV English which includes technical and computer terminology required. Fluent Estonian. Russian preferable.
• Good technical skills to trouble-shoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software problems while maximizing the capabilities of the organization's computer resources.
• Must have good knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of computer equipments and softwares; automation policies, elementary fact-finding techniques, basic systems analysis and design techniques.
• Knowledge of Microsoft products to include the latest Windows platform and the latest Office software.
• Good interpersonal skills to develop and maintain two-way communication between the IT section and the end-users.
• The ability to balance workload demands between critical IT requirements and individual user requirements.
