Job Description

For this position you should have strong experience in demanding HR responsibilities, and prior international work experience preferably within a manufacturing or service business in countries in the region, as well as suitable educational background. You must be able to communicate well in English, both written and oral, other language skills are an advantage. A “can do” attitude, service mindset and a systematic way of working are prerequisites for this position.


You are proactive, assertive, persistent and have practical down to earth and hands on approach to HR issues combined with strategic thinking. You are a good team player with the ability to coach others; you can also work independently bringing tasks to an end. Busy periods, tight schedules and handling several projects at the same time are challenges that bring out the best in you. You use your excellent negotiation and communication skills when co-operating with all levels in our organization.

Main responsibilities in this position are:

  • Supporting country level HR in the Region in developing and implementing consistent people processes according to global People processes and practices
  • Supporting footprint expansion activities in the new country or in an acquired company by ensuring consistent People processes
  • Managing succession planning and leadership development in the Region
  • In co-operation with Global HR annually reviewing regional compensation structure
  • Mentoring and coaching current HR resources throughout Region
  • Being a member or Global HR Management Team and actively participating in the development of global HR processes and practices.

Additional information

HR Director, Region WEMEA reports to VP, Human Resources and to SVP, Region WEMEA. The location of this position is negotiable. Travelling is required in this position.
