Job Description
- Analyse problems, onsite or remotely
- Interact with Network suppliers and customers
- Manage trouble ticket system, co-ordinate fault clearance with clients, users & suppliers
- Circuit testing during fault resolution and service implementation
- Record administration
- Run fault management system, and ensure that SLA-targets are met
- Manage escalation procedures within both Linxtelecom, suppliers and clients
- Shared responsibility for the Linx PoP’s
Requirements
- 1 - 3 years hands-on experience as a test engineer, NOC-engineer and / or field engineer
- IP knowledge
- A sound knowledge of telecommunications networks, incl. DWDM / SDH transmission techniques and leased lines, IP VPN, MPLS, Routing protocols like BGP
- Installing & maintaining power equipment (Certified power engineer)
- Onsite provisioning and testing
- Hands-on experience with Nortel, Juniper and Cisco equipment is a plus
- Fluency in English and Estonian is mandatory; other Eastern European languages are an advantage
- Ability to work with Office Tools as well as Linux and UNIX platforms
