Job Description

  • Develop and implement data protection policies, procedures, and standards for the company.
  • Monitor the company's compliance with data protection regulations and laws.
  • Advise the company's employees and management on data protection issues.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential data protection risks.
  • Handle data protection inquiries from customers and other stakeholders.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, including the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate and the Financial Intelligence Unit, as required.
  • Ensure that all data protection breaches are identified, reported, and investigated in a timely manner.
  • Implement appropriate measures to prevent data breaches and ensure that data breaches are mitigated.

 

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience working as a Data Protection Officer or a similar role.
  • Being a resident of Estonia is required.
  • Strong understanding of data protection regulations, including the GDPR and the Estonian Personal Data Protection Act.
  • Knowledge of the cryptocurrency industry and its regulatory environment is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and management methodologies.
  • Professional certification in data protection, such as the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification, is preferred.
  • Fluency in Estonian and English is required.
