Job Description

  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the company;
  • Organizing full accounting records of the Estonian company in accordance with the requirements of regulatory acts;
  • Ensure the implementation of the company's accounting policies and accounting procedures;
  • Preparing reports on company performance including profit and loss statements and balance sheets analyses;
  • Submitting reports to state institutions, ensure communication with the SRS on tax matters, as well as with other state institutions;
  • Participating in or leading internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls within an organization’s financial management system;
  • Ensure the realization of daily accounting operations, such as verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable;
  • Calculating employee earnings and deductions, preparing employee paychecks, maintaining and updating accurate payroll documents, updating payroll and accounting files, general ledger, and tax documents;
  • Participate in the Company's annual budget planning process, prepare all necessary information and documents for the preparation of the annual budget;
  • Advise colleagues on tax and other business matters;
  • Conducting research to identify new accounting methods or procedures which could improve efficiency or effectiveness of operations;
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Management within the scope of professional activity.

Requirements

  • Higher education in accounting together with experience in the position of chief accountant for no less than 5 years;
  • High sense of responsibility, analytical thinking, accuracy and ability to meet the deadlines;
  • Positive attitude and desire to improve your professionalism;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to work in a team;
  • Candidate must be meticulous and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy and completeness in their work;
  • Good knowledge of Russian and English;
  • Computer skills at the level of an experienced user (MS Office), skills in working with accounting programs;
  • Experience in a wholesale export company will be considered an advantage;
  • Experience with HORIZON program will be considered an advantage.
