You will be responsible for the accounting records and its accuracy. You’ll provide both internal and external parties with meaningful, accurate and timely financial information of Estonian legal entity and ensure that the books are closed in a timely manner and according to the required quality standards. You will be responsible for leading, guiding and supporting your team of three professionals. You will report to the Managing Director of Volvo Estonia OÜ and to the Director Financial Control & Accounting Central North Area of Volvo Group.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for delivery of the complete financial statement for Estonian legal entity in the Volvo Group consolidation system;
- Ensure completion of all statutory and compliance reporting for the Volvo Estonia OÜ;
- Take lead to coordinate and drive the delivery team for the legal entity including other local and remote FCA resources, Group Finance resources and business stakeholders;
- Drive daily control and monitoring within all relevant accounting processes;
- Ensure compliance with internal control objectives, local GAAP’s and Financial Policies and Procedures;
- Work closely with business to fully understand the flows of transactions into the balance sheet, to ensure that there are no material misstatements;
- Manage the monthly end and annual closing process of the legal entity and business consolidation system reporting;
- Coordinate and facilitate audits within the FCA scope of responsibility;
- Be a professional business partner for internal and external stakeholders;

YOU ARE WELCOME TO APPLY IF YOU HAVE
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Chief Accountant or similar position, preferably gained in an international company;
- Thorough knowledge and experience in local GAAP, local tax administration and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
- Excellent people, project, time management and problem solving skills
- Effective written and spoken communication skills in Estonian and English;
- Continuous improvement and “can-do” attitude
- Strong team player attitude, but also the ability to work independently;
- Good knowledge of accounting systems (preferably SAP, Scala), as well MS Excel and other IS/IT tools.
