Smakbyn is a place for everybody who likes good tastes. We are open almost all year around but have a high peak during summer. In Smakbyn we have a restaurant, a small shop, a distillery, winecellar and conference room. We also do a lot of food catering. In our restaurant good food made from scratch is served, and we like to offer really good food and drinks, always served with a smile. We like local ingredients and head in the kitchen is Michael Björklund, anaward‐winning chef. We in Smakbyn on the Åland Islands are now looking for a head chef, chefs, a head waiter and waiters for this winter and for next summer. It is important for us that everybody in our staff is polite and work with a smile on their face, all our guests should have a great time at our place.
You need to speak good English, ohter languages such as Swedish, Finnish and others are good to know but not necessary. In our team we help each other a lot, and we work well and effectively under stress. As a head waiter and head chef you are responsible for our team, setting menus, doing work schedules and working against goals. We are looking for people with former experience and who can do a high quality work. Although we have very relaxed atmosphere it is important that everything we do is of high quality. As a waitress you should know everything from how to take orders at the table, presenting the food on the plate, recommending wines to helping your guests with their payment transactions. We have a great team who also like to meet during our spare time for get togethers, such as BBQ nights.
We need one Chef or head chef plus one waiter or head waiter. For summer about 8 waiters and 8 chefs.
Salary Depends on the experience. For educated waitress/chef from 11,12 €/hour. 15 €/hour if you do a great job. More evenings and nighttme. On sundays double pay. Accommodation is for free. Good if you have a driver´s certificate. Working time from 70%, from 112 h/month and more.
