About the job

Chief Financial Officer at IKEA Baltics is responsible for assessing financial risks and opportunities. You will guide the organization in setting and tracking financial goals, objectives, and budgets.

Your tasks will include

• To be accountable for the accounting operations of all three Baltic organisations
• Production of periodic financial reports; internal (local and parent) and external (authorities/auditors)
• Controlling income, cash flow and expenditure.
• Carrying out risk management activities designed to mitigate risk on all levels of the organisation.
• Supervising all finance personnel (controllers, accountants etc.)
• Assessing economic viability of projects and decisions.
• Preparing decisions and maintaining relationships on insurance, card acquiring and other financial issues.
• Liaising with the company bankers, lawyers, auditors, senior managers, authorities and parent company.
• Ensuring compliance with the law and company’s policies.
• Managing procurement
• Managing budgeting, follow up and analytics

To be successful in this role you need to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience as Chief finance officer (CFO), Chief accountant or relevant role
• In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
• Experience in managing profitability, financial planning and strategy
• Solid knowledge of corporate finance, forecasting and budget development
• Ability to strategize and solve problems
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
