Betmaster is looking for a data engineer to join one of our three lines of business. Betmaster data engineers have the opportunity to work and get support from a data platform lead who sets up data engineering functions in one unicorn and one soon to be a unicorn company. You will be matched to a manager and a mentor. You will have the opportunity to affect the evolution of Betmaster technology as well as lead mission critical projects early in your career. Your work will contribute to solving some of the most complex technical challenges in the company.In addition to working on an impactful project, you will have the opportunity to engage with Betmaster folks for both personal and professional development, as well as expand your network. We expect the person to work from or regularly visit our Tallinn office at least for the first 3 months. However, if your skills permit - a fully remote scenario is an option too.
Your responsibilities include:
- Design, implement, and automate deployment of our distributed system for collecting and processing log events from multiple sources
- Design, implement and automate loading of data from different sources and APIs
- Design data schema and operate internal data warehouses and SQL database systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot operational or data issues in the data pipelines
- Contribute to architectural plans and implementation for future data storage, reporting, and analytic solutions
- Work collaboratively with Business Analysts, Data Scientist, and other internal partners to identify opportunities/problems
- Provide assistance to the team with troubleshooting, researching the root cause, and thoroughly resolving defects in the event of a problem
