DATA TECH LEAD

Together with your small team, your main responsibilities will be:

• Defining the future vision of Data Platforms in Milrem and implementing it hands-on.
• Working closely with development teams and other stakeholders to provide them the data they need.
• Ensuring that Milrem’s Data Platform is scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Ensuring that Data Management best practices are followed.

You are a good fit if you have the following: 

• Previous experience leading teams.
• 5+ years of experience in big data and data platforms.
• Full stack technical expertise from OS and configuration management to big data ecosystem components such as Kafka, Hive, Cassandra and R.
• Experience integrating big data open-source technologies with various commercial platforms, including RDBS solutions and off-the-shelf analytics tools.
• Experience with the development of analytics, data science and ML-based solutions using open-source tools and libraries.
• Demonstrated ability to develop sizing & capacity planning for large-scale big data platforms and to periodically evaluate and optimize performance and platform throughput.
• General knowledge of big data storage infrastructure.
• Knowledge in developing database systems and data models and good background in data security, access control and encryption.
• Strong communication, analytical, and cooperation skills.
• Very good English (written and spoken) and Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field).
