Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our Estonian finance team with various tax-related tasks and accounting. The Estonian finance team, located in Tallinn, primarily deals with tax and accounting operations for our local subsidiary company.

Responsibilities:

• Accounting operations, including VAT and VIES reports, Social Taxes, Statistics, and OSS/IOSS reports.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information, summarise current financial status by collecting information;
• Prepare balance sheets, profit, loss statements and other related reports.
• Assist with billing questions regarding indirect tax or other related subjects
• Review the accountancy reports and declarations done by the accountancy department and audit process cooperation.
• Support accounting month-close process and audits
• Support the finance team with additional tasks and work on accounting projects as assigned
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Obtaining a VAT number for companies in the tax office and registering companies in a particular OSS and IOSS scheme.
• Submit statistical reports to Estonian bank and Statistics Estonia.
• Compile tax revenue and sales data and manage related tax reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or related field.
• Professional in the English and Estonian languages.

Experience:

• At least four years of experience with Estonian accounting practices and Estonia tax-related operations
