Junior Accountant

Key responsibilities / Accountabilities:

• Preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information in SAP
• Actively participating in month end closing activities
• Checking accuracy of journal entries and reconciliations of accounts
• Driving daily routine accounting activities (data transferring, etc.)
• Preparing and submitting weekly and monthly reports
• Providing support to the annual report, monthly VAT report and all other statistical reporting
• Participating in ad hoc projects related to the assigned area of responsibility
• Supporting Chief Accountant and Volvo Estonia financial team
• Improving accounting processes in order to increase their quality and effectiveness.

Ideal candidate:

• Has an operational experience in Accounting to work independently
• Has a partner and customer oriented focus
• Is accurate and reliable team player with good analytical and problem solving skills
• Is flexible and has a proactive approach as well as high integrity
• Is action and deadline oriented, curious and has very good communication skills
• Is fluent in Estonian and has good knowledge of English
• Has very good knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
• Has good user knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Has a minimum of 2 years of professional experience gained in accounting area and a degree in accounting, finance or relevant field
• SAP R/3 and Scala systems knowledge and experience is beneficial
