Electrical engineer

We are looking for an electrical engineer to support us with the electrical design drawings for machinery and interior equipment.

The job is for You if you have technical interests, you are familiar with the CAD software, you are punctual and you want to learn new things.

Specific previous knowledge of ship electrical design, systems and/or interior is an advantage, but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take responsibility for engineering tasks and perform associated calculations:
  • Electrical design based on different marine, offshore and classification society rules.
  • Write and analyze calculation notes, analysis reports, specification of materials.
• Development and management of following documentation:
  • Feasibility studies.
  • Load balance, short circuit, selectivity and other electrical calculations.
  • Automation drawings.
  • Low and high voltage circuit drawings.
  • Switchboards and switchgear drawings.
  • Research and development projects.
• To provide leading efforts to analyze, design, and produce complex electrical systems.
• To prepare, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support system integration.
• To analyze product design requirements and recommending solutions.
• To strive for continuous improvement and teamwork in design and development.
• Project Management support: delivery, cost, operational schedule, reporting.
• Communication with end client, partners, material and equipment suppliers.
• On-site electrical engineering, supervision and communication support all over the world.
• Support the commercial department: writing of offers & presentations.

To ensure technical direction of other engineers, drafters, test operators and technicians on specific work assignments.

• To Follow/support the development of new and innovative technical principles, theories, concepts, techniques and processes.

A good candicate has:

• At least Bachelor’s Degree in electrical field.
• 5 years minimum experience. Preferably gained experience in design engineers/consultants or installation contractors.
• Competent in use of relevant codes and software:
• Engineering software:
  • AutoCAD/Inventor, Cadmatic Electrical or other similar.
  • Classification society ruler: IEC; IEEE; ISO; DNV-GL and other regulations.
• Experience with project management.
• Good communication skills. At least Level B in English.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team.
• Good leadership, planning, organizing and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with a drive for results, improvement and innovation.
• Open minded to work on projects and tasks, which are not directly related to electrical discipline.

Additional advantages:

• Knowledge of following ship design softwares: CADS planner, EPLAN, ABB doc, Dialux
• Knowledge of Estonian, English and Russian language
