Development Manager

Your role

As a Development Manager you are part of the mill Management Team. Your responsibilities include leading and facilitating operations development initiatives and maintenance projects. You will be ensuring the further development of operations processes from both a strategic and operational perspective. To succeed in this role, you must manage with both hands-on and strategic tasks. You must have a comprehensive understanding of the daily operations in a manufacturing environment. You work closely with our external partners and other UPM units.

Your skills and experiences

• Substantial experience from a similar role or as Production Manager, Operations Manager, Maintenance Manager etc. in medium to large manufacturing operations.
• Degree in Engineering (Master's degree preferable)
• Continuous improvement and strategic mindset
• Proven track record in change management
• Fluency in written and spoken English is a prerequisite for this role, Finnish language would be an advantage
• Good communication skills
• Experience in project management
