Operations Team Lead

At Starship, we are redefining how goods reach the places in which we live. We have brought together some incredible talent and have entered commercial pilots with hundreds of robots driving along sidewalks across the United States and four countries in Europe. We believe that soon there will be thousands of our robots around the world. We are looking for a new Operations Team Lead to join the Operations team in Estonia. We are hoping to find someone process-oriented with strong communication skills to lead a medium-sized team of robot operators. Operators help out with the daily operations of an innovative food delivery service with supporting our robots throughout the shift, solve unexpected situations that might arise during the course of a delivery, and work effectively as a team to ensure exceptional results in the delivery service from merchants to customers. In this job role, your responsibilities will include:

Managing a team of operators and creating processes in the operators team

Developing the operators team and role to help Starship achieve its goals

Ensuring and developing metrics for quality, efficiency and carrying out necessary changes for operators

Developing internal training processes; conduct safety and quality trainings for entire operations

Coaching and developing team members

Communicating to different departments (operations all over the world, Engineering, Business Development, Product etc) to ensure we are working as a team

To be successful in the role, you will need:

At least 2 years of experience in managing 10+ members in a fast-paced team

Acquired Bachelor degree and knowledge about Lean Six Sigma

Excellent communication skills (from language perspective main requirement is English - everything else is a bonus)

Process and data oriented mindset to notice and solve inefficiencies

People oriented attitude as they are the most precious resource Starship has

The will to plan and act if you see something that needs to be changed

Natural curiosity that drives you to learn more and develop yourself
