Traffic Information Operator

Job description:
• Operating traffic information messages in Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, Danish
• Publishing traffic information messages in Sweden, Finland Norway, Denmark in V-traffic
• Continuously improving traffic information message quality in V-traffic service
• Contacting traffic information sources as municipalities (Road administration etc)
• Actively searching traffic information (roadworks, events etc.) from different sources
• Reporting to next colleague coming on shift
• Participating on monthly traffic operators team meetings
Traffic information operator at Mediamobile Traffic Information Centre in Tallinn
Mediamobile traffic information centre in Tallinn consist of two teams, one operating Finland and Estonia and one team operating Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
Operators are working on traffic information centre in two shifts: Morning (7.00-15.00) and afternoon (15.00-23.00) and on weekends (7.00-19.00). Morning and afternoon rush hours are the busiest time in a day with many accidents on road. During midday time flies publishing roadwork and events in V-traffic service. Work includes traffic information handling received from multiple sources and controlling so it is correct in time and place before publishing it to V-Traffic service.

Skills & abilities:
• Good written & verbal in following priority: Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, Danish, Estonian
• Social skills to interact with other team members in Estonian/Finnish/Swedish language
• Local geographical knowledge of understanding of Nordic maps and road network
• Good basic IT skills to use Windows office tools (word, excel, outlook)
• Ability to learn new things as the traffic information operating tool
• Think in terms of logical, user perspective (car driver, navigation user), communicative
• Service oriented, positive and can make independent decisions
• Driving license or experience of the Nordic driving culture
• Previous experience from traffic related tasks are a bonus
