Job Description
Contribute BU Drives’ product development work by engineering of frequency converter cabinets, standard solutions, functionalities and standard electrical options.
The work is executed in project basis lead by Project manager defined by FIDRI.
Tasks:
o Electrical design of drives
o Sizing and selection of electrical components and wiring
o Documentation, including circuit diagrams, wiring tables, etc.
o Creation of partlists and configuration tables
o Management of prototype and pilot manufacturing
o Pay special attention to product manufacturability, bearing in mind the rapid and efficient production
o Other tasks defined in ABB general instructions

Requirements
o University degree: electrical or power electronics
o Knowledge of frequency converter hardware
o Ability to perceive big picture and understanding the influence of selected solutions to surrounding environment
o Ability to perceive complete structure of large configurable product
o Cooperative, willing for team work, organized, scrupulous, purposeful
o Good English and Estonian spoken and written, Finnish beneficial
o Intermediate PC knowledge, beneficial to know some database based design and simulation tools
o Understanding the importance of customer relations
o Knowledge of frequency converter hardware
