Role Definition:
Provides consultation on RF engineering matters by applying in depth knowledge of principles, practices and procedures. Works with minimum supervision. Responsibilities include link budget analysis, system dimensioning for coverage and capacity, site identification / evaluation, network optimization and tuning.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for E2E Troubleshooting for VoLTE & VoWiFi .
Performs RF network design, planning and optimization activities.
Performs link budget analysis, design criteria and traffic analysis.
Ensures data integrity of various morphology/topography databases and drive test data for model calibration.
Carries out area and site surveys to identify RF equipment location and antenna orientation.
Provides network optimization analysis and recommendations using a combination of drive data and network statistics.
Performs network tuning using parameter optimization.
Responsible for technical knowledge transfer to client/customer, as required.
Performs frequency and PSC planning and/or PN planning as well as co-channel and adjacent channel interference testing and analysis.
Undertakes NW performance improvement (KPIs) and optimization tasks and BSS parameter modifications.
Requirements
Critical Experiences and skills:
1. Familiar with Majority of SIP Cause Codes for analyzing and troubleshooting a VoLTE+Legacy(2G/3G) call.
2. Knowledge of Timers/Parameters of SBC/CSCF/TAS will be a plus.
3. Detailed Knowledge and experienced with EPC & IMS protocol such as Diameter, SIP, Radius,etc.
4. Knowledge of SIP and RFC standards for VOIP.
5. Familiar with IMS/EPC network elements functionality,E2E call flow.
6. 8+ years’ experience working with Mobile network core.
7. Working knowledge of Wireshark.
8. Working knowledge of IrisView is a definitely plus.
