Database administrator

- Design, build, verify, implement and maintain the structure of databases thinking about every constraints starting from minimizing requests needed in order to make the use as fast as possible.
- Prepare the scalability of the databases.
- Monitor and optimize daily every single aspect of the database
- Keep your knowledge up to date daily
- Enable smooth upgrades and/or installation and support of new capabilities
- Review and verify new applications for their ability to be integrated into the environment – specifically around data. This includes design around security, maintainability, reliability, performance and metrics.
- Develop standards around performance tuning, query optimization, tables and view advice
- Make sure the developer team understand perfectly the database structure you created
- Develop an API allowing an easy access to the data
- Assist the developers for specific tasks, more often for database related tasks

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Capable to work independently with eager to learn and solve problems
- Experience with MySQL, Oracle or PostgreSQL
- PHP / MySQL
- JSON
- Strong computer skills in general
- Ease to adapt to any Operating System (Windows or Mac OS)
- Excellent written and oral communication in English
- Having worked with X-Road would be a plus
- French knowledge would be a plus
- Being over-motivated will overpass any of the above
