Backup and Linux systems administrator

• Configuring open-source and commercial backup systems
• Managing everyday backup operations
• Participating in architecting and developing automated backup systems
• Supporting application developers in servers configuration area
• Managing and supporting mission-critical servers
• Participating in on-duty support schedules

Requirements:
• Practical experience in managing Linux servers (from command line)
• Understanding of backup techniques and technologies
• Understanding of networking technologies
• Skills in Linux shell scripting
• Ability to take up new programming languages
• Basic knowledge of databases (MySQL)
• Good English communication skills
• Team player that takes responsibility for his/her work and the product

Additional qualifications:
• Understanding of different development techniques and methods
• Experience with web development frameworks
• Good programming skills
• Good knowledge of other operating systems, eg. Windows
• Experience with Git/SVN
• Experience with central management solutions, eg. Puppet
