Carrier Operations Network Engineer

We’re seeking talented network engineers to help run the best telecommunications platform on the planet. The Carrier Operations team is responsible for overall architecture and day to day interfacing with all of Twilio’s carrier partners. About the job: This role focuses on working with Twilio’s carriers and internal engineer teams on streamlining processes and handling escalated issues with our partners. Successful candidates will be have strong telecom experience working with SIP, SMPP, and other telephony protocols. They will know how to interface with carrier teams and properly troubleshoot all ranges of issues from one way audio to deploying new carrier interconnects. Responsibilities: This role is for the general network engineer role that on-boards all of our carrier partners and works cross-functionally on maintaining carrier part of our network. The person in this role is responsible for sorts of escalations with quality or other items that pop up daily and the day to day can change a fair bit. This individual also takes on larger migration and other projects for capacity and planning. Jack of all trades with a SMS / VoIP / engineer focus is a big plus. Being a CODER is not a requirement.

* SIP experience. * Worked for a telecom company in operations/engineering. *Eager to take on new things. Bonus points: * SMPP * VPN * Other telecom related skills & SQL.
