Summer Internship 2014

IMS is a flagship Playtech Product representing the sessions, player and wallet management systems. All gaming products like Casino, Poker, Bingo are integrated with IMS. IMS consists of many services like account service, wallet service, login service, bonus service, loyalty service, chat service etc. Most of them are developed in Estonia. IMS is the main competitive advantage of Playtech.

The main focus of the job is to develop new services and refactor existing, to create high performance scalable solution, by using modern technologies.

This includes:

• Participation in software design process
• Coding following the guidelines and general development plan
• Unit testing / integration testing
• Analyzing performance tests
• Creative debugging and problem solving
• Documenting your work and progress
• Support of the existing system

• Experience in Java (at least 3 years and very good proficiency and ability to learn)
• Experience in development of client-server applications
• Creative thinking and ability to quickly grasp new concepts
• Good English (both oral and written)

Beneficial skills:
• Higher education in IT or Computer Science
• Experience working with relational databases
• Experience developing applications using any development IDE – Ecplise is preferred
• Understanding of source control and build system tools (mercurial, maven)
• Strong analytical and reverse engineering skills
• Experience in developing distributed applications
